Walking on Phillip (with Norfolk in the background)

Through the dunes to Emily Bay
When you visit Norfolk Island our great outdoors will enthral you - it is amazing!
Breakfast bushwalking (minimum 7)
Discover the incredible scenic beauty of the natural environment in The World of Norfolk with a guide on a relaxing and informative one hour bush walk through the Norfolk Island National Park. Learn about our unique eco-systems and endemic flora and fauna. Arrive in time to enjoy a well deserved hearty cooked breakfast in the Park. (2.5 hours)
Walking and bird watching
Margaret Christian, who has researched and worked for over 20 years in the unique Norfolk Island environment, offers several experiences: Bird watching walking tours - a leisurely stroll to the island's best bird watching locations; and Natural history walking tours - where Norfolk Island's natural history is revealed, from the earliest geological days to the current state of the environment. Learn about the unique adaptations of the island's plants and animals, and how they have been impacted by man since the Polynesian settlements of 900 years ago.
Horseriding
Kaye Wood runs a really high quality stable and tea house at Mission Road and there is a range of rides to choose from. Again, if you want to see Norfolk from a different angle, try horseback! Kaye has horses that suit all riding abilities and a mounting block for all sizes! Choose from both short (30 minutes) and long rides (a couple of hours) and enjoy either tea and damper on the trail or a Devonshire Tea back at the Tea House. Whether you have ridden for years or this is your first time on a horse, Kaye can guarantee a wonderful experience.
Four wheel driving
While this sounds adventurous, your level of fitness does not have to be high, and you are not in for a wild ride! Christian’s 4WD Tours use comfortable vehicles that accommodate visitors of all ages. The adventure lies in where you go, what you see and what you learn. The four wheel drive vehicles take you off the beaten track, through private properties and the national park to reveal wonderful scenery that is otherwise hidden. The knowledgeable guides will also give you lots of information about the native plants and wildlife. The tours are three hours and include morning or afternoon tea.
Phillip Island trek
Seven kilometres off Norfolk Island is Phillip Island, named after the first commandant of Norfolk Island, Phillip Gidley King. It is a truly unique and awe-inspiring landscape, showing the extreme consequences of releasing pigs, goats and rabbits into a pristine environment. Sheer cliffs rising hundreds of metres, sea caves, desert-like landscape in some areas, panoramic views, thousands of sea birds, and some unique and rare flora and fauna make this experience an unforgettable one.
