'Daun a Taun' is the site of the beginning of each of Norfolk's settlements. Experience a journey through time with a visit to the cemetery, ruins and buildings regarded as the most impressive collection of Georgian architecture in the southern hemisphere and still in community use today - living history! Enjoy the stories of commandants, convicts and characters who played a part in Norfolk's convict history. (3 hours)
History in the Making (minimum 4)
Learn why the first Norfolk Island settlement from 1788 to 1814 was more successful than Sydney. Learn why the convict penal settlement from 1825 to 1855 was no place for the meek and mild and where even the toughest spirit was broken.
Experience first hand stone cutting, shingle splitting, timber cutting and rope making at the home of a Pitcairn descendant (Arthur Evans). Visit 200 year old work sites and see where produce gardens once thrived. (3 hours)
Fletcher's Mutiny Cyclorama - open 7 days
This is Norfolk Island's most loved attraction. It is a 360 degree panoramic painting of how the world's most famous mutiny, the Mutiny on the Bounty, created the Pitcairn and Norfolk communities. Two local artists took 16 months to paint the Cyclorama, and it is based on extensive research to ensure historical accuracy. With great art and an evocative soundtrack composed by musician Rick Robertson that brings history to life, this is a must see attraction. (1 hour)

The Museums reveal Norfolk's amazing and multi-layered story. Located in the World Heritage listed buildings of Kingston, the museums at No. 10 Quality Row, the Pier Store, and the Commissariat Store, have on show Georgian architecture, the story of the HMS Sirius, archaeological remains, and much more.
You can explore the museums with a Museum Pass that allows multiple entries to all museums at any time in your stay. There is also the courtroom drama of the Trial of the 15 play that reveals our colourful and sometimes turbulent past, the 'For Whom the Bell Tolls' tour of stories from the Norfolk Island cemetery, and the REO Cafe and Bookshop for your enjoyment.
